Oke Oka Jeevitham has been in the making for a long time. The film, which stars Sharwanand, hit theaters today. Let's see how it is.

Story

Adi (Sharwanand), Sreenu (Vennela Kishore) and Chaitu (Priyadarshi) are three close friends who have their own problems. One fine day, they meet a scientist (Nasser) who promises to take them back in time so they can solve their childhood mistakes. Enthusiastically, they agree and travel back to 1998 in a time machine. Upon arrival, they meet their younger versions and begin to correct their mistakes. But the story takes a turn when the younger versions of the three kids use the same time machine and travel to the future, while the adults stay behind. What will the three friends do now? How will the groups switch places in time? To find out the answers, you'll have to watch the movie on the big screen.

Plus Points

Stories based on time machines have always been interesting. So one can be curious how the makers will set the plot in the past and present. But director Shree Karthik does a great job of mixing the stories from the past and present and adds comedy with a good dose of emotions that are a big highlight in the film.

Amala makes a comeback after a ten year hiatus and is great in the film. She plays Sharwa's mother and brings tears to your eyes in many scenes. Her scenes with Sharwa are the mainstay of the film. Speaking of Sharwanand, we all know that he is a sensitive actor and boy, he gives it his all. His acting in all emotional scenes will surely move you. He being a reserved person plays his character so well and is the mainstay of the movie. The climax scene with Amala shows his acting skills.

Priyadarshi gets a good role and does well in his supporting role. Ritu Varma was also effective in her small but important role. One of the biggest strengths of the film is the comedy by Vennela Kishore. Without overdoing it, the top comedian stays in his role and delivers a great performance. He provides great laughs and engages the audience throughout the film.

The first half of the film is quite entertaining and presented in a funny way. Nasser plays the role of a scientist and is great and brings a lot of depth to the proceedings. The three child actors were great in their respective roles. Another big plus point of the film is the captivating narration. Director Shree Karthik narrates the film in such a way that it provides thrills, excitement and also fun in many scenes.

The second half is full of emotional scenes. The way the movie ends in a very practical way was very nice to watch. The logic in the time travel is well solved and the aesthetics were well designed. The character arcs of the three friends are well fleshed out and end on a decent note.

Minus Points

The film has a slow pace and takes a while to get into the main plot. Not that the scenes are bad, but it would have been even better for the viewer with a slightly faster-paced script.

The way the three kids deal with themselves in this day and age is not adequately portrayed. Things are shown in a simple way and more explanation should have been given in this episode.

Technical Aspects

The concept of time travel has been superbly executed. The VFX used, the model of the time machine and the production design are top notch. The cinematography sets the scene of the 90s era very well. The dialogue is emotional, as is the music by Jakes Bejoy. The editing could have been crisper to make it better.

As for the director Shree Karthik, he has done a very good job with the film. His story is different and the conflict point he chooses for each of the friends looks impressive. The young director takes a lot of time to build up the plot, but it all comes to an end in an appropriate way in the second half. Karthik's sense of emotion and comedy was impressive. He didn't overdo it and make the film melodramatic. When you think the emotions are taking over, the subtle comedy and thrills keep you interested.

Verdict

All in all, Oke Oka Jeevitham is a well-made science fiction drama with good comedy and sensitive emotions. The performances of the lead actors, the interesting setting and the captivating narrative are big pluses. Apart from the slow pace, the film has a strong content and will surely impress those who expect different stories told in a captivating and entertaining way. watch it.
